Are you ready to get back on track?

Uncategorized Sep 01, 2019

Welcome, to my new weekly newsletter, Desires Of The Heart: A CEO's Weekly Reflection.

I love journaling! It has always been a great way for me to capture the moments, settle my mind, craft my future, and get centered on my desires. This weekly reflection is a way for me to welcome you into my world and allow you to get to know the day in the life of a multi-million dollar CEO and the impact of my coaching and consulting business.

Each Sunday I will share highlights from the past week as well as share what to expect in the coming weeks.

So here it goes!

Have you noticed, the seasons are changing. Are you ready to get back on track?

If you are like me, you've taken some time away from the busyness of business to spend time with family and friends. You may have even done some traveling.

In June, I spent a few days in Costa Rica with 36 of my girlfriends! We had a fabulous time.

But now that the seasons are changing and summer is coming to a close, it's time to get back on track.

Over this past week, I've watched family and friends send their kids off to college.

Such tender moments!

It wasn't too long ago that I was doing the same.

Now my girls are grown, and while one of them is finishing up her last semester in college, I didn't have to get her ready....well, because her classes are literally in my back yard and of course because she is grown.

On Tuesday, the rest of the children in this area will go back to school. The school buses will be back on the streets and traffic will be.....back to normal!

It's back to school time! Which also means it's time to get back to business.

How do you feel about that?

Are you ready to get back to a regular routine?

Or do you feel some sort of anxiety about everything that is waiting for you in the office?

I know I did.

In the early years of my business I loved the feeling of getting the girls ready to go back to school. However, I hated the amount of time that was taken away. I hated the anxiety of rushing! I hated rushing home to help with homework, then rushing the girls to bed so I could then rush to do more work. Not to mention, back to school managed to coincide with the start of my busy season.

Back to school time for me meant back to the GRIND!

It wasn't until I realized my resentment for that time of year that I managed to change things. Now I am intentional about my time. I live by my calendar and EVERYTHING that's important to me goes on the calendar FIRST.

I also create private moments. Moments when I can slip away alone and chart my course.

Like yesterday!

I intentionally stole away to my happy place right on the water.

I sat on the pier in Annapolis, Maryland with my cup of coffee, a computer, the latest book I am reading and developed my business coaching and consulting programs for the next quarter.

Lately, I've been toyed with ways to stay engaged with you. As a business strategist, it's extremely important to me to remain in contact. What I know about being a CEO is it gets lonely. It also gets confusing. We stay in our minds a lot, talking ourselves out of very important desires.

So, out of my time on the pier was birthed my constant communication portal.

Yesterday while sitting on the pier, I opened Scale To Seven Figures, a Facebook community for service based business owners who are ready to scale their way to their first or next million dollars in annual revenues in a manner that does not kill their spirit or steal their joy.

We've already accepted 26 CEOs into the group and look forward to seeing you there as well. It's free to join and a nice way to stay in constant communication with me while networking and collaborating with other like minded CEOs.

So, what's next?

It's extremely important to me that you make the transition of getting back to business with ease and intention. I want you to feel the peace, comfort, and clarity I now feel every year this time.

Therefore, I would like to invite you to join me for a live business workshop and coaching session I will be conducting on September 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM.

During this session I will be sharing the five steps you can take immediately to get back on track, achieve your goals and finish this year strong!

As we prepare to head into Labor Day, I ask for your thoughts and prayers as we anxiously await the arrival of my first grandbaby. We don't know if it's a girl or a boy so we endearingly call the baby Brownie.

Brownie's due date has come and gone, so we are truly settling in on any day now! Hopefully next week's message will present an introduction to the newest addition to my family.

Happy Labor Day to you!!

May you spend the rest of this weekend intentionally and may you start to realize the Desires Of Your Heart!
